A great SpaG Resource which I have produced in colour and in black and white. I have also included a powerpoint presentation for classroom use, this could be used by the teacher to model writing. There is a set of instructions. Includes: choose a character, a setting, a time, a characteristic, an event, an object, a verb, an adjective and an adverb. The children will pick one from each card and create their own sentences or perhaps a short story. This will also be a useful tool during guided reading time as it can be used with groups. also super for differentation. The final page is a SPag Tick List.

This is a pdf file of original poems for KS2. The poems must be read and then each one has an analysis sheet and a written activity to be completed by the pupil. The poems included are about seasons, cities, rivers, shoes and trees. The pupils are asked to answer comprehension questions, use dictionaries to find meanings of words, create their own poems and look for types of words. The workbook may be printed out as a complete workbook or as individual poetry exercises.

Another original short story written by me in a child friendly vocabulary set in 1895, Jayne, the young lady of the house is attending a ball in the manor and waiting patiently for a young suiter to appear. There are various characters in the story and this could be used as an introduction to a long novel, Shakespearian or Dickensian literature in preparation for Grammar/ Secondary school. There are pages to read and discuss so I have included a powerpoint presentation followed by comprehension questions, writing activities and drawing conclusions. There are three stories written by me in child-friendly vocabulary about the lives and legacy of three famous Victorian women, Florence Nightingale, Grace Darling and Beatrix Potter.
